Jenna is a creative practitioner, facilitator and director in North Yorkshire who began leading Flying Ducks Youth Theatre in 2018. Jenna began her training at LIPA (Acting) and completed her training at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts studying Musical Theatre BA (Hons) -graduating in 2014. With over 10 years of experience in Acting, Singing, Dance and Musical Theatre her passion for teaching has continued to develop whilst working in London and now back in York, whilst producing fun, high energy and inspiring classes, encouraging students to build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Sara Howlett
Director | Teacher of Ducks Group
Sara’s enthusiasm for performance started when she joined the first ever Flying Ducklings group in 2002. This led her to performing with both Flying Ducks Youth Theatre and The Rowntree Players, before completing a performance course at York College and moving to London to train at the prestigious Arts Educational Drama School in Musical Theatre. Over the years since moving back to York, Sara has been assistant choreographer for The Rowntree Players, as well as regularly performing in their annual plays. Sara has been teaching The Flying Ducks for 6 years, directing the group is a highlight of her week- ‘Seeing each individual learn, improve and grow in confidence is an absolute pleasure!’.
Keelie Newbold
Teaching Assistant of Quacks and Ducklings Groups
Keelie first joined Flying Ducks as a Duckling in 2014 and first performed with our group in ‘The Wiz’ in 2015! Keelie continued to be a member of the group performing in their yearly shows until July 2022. Keelie has a keen love of dancing and performing in shows including Rowntree Players local Pantomime each year! Keelie began working as a Teaching Assistant for the Quacks and Ducklings groups in 2021, she has just finished a 2 year Childcare course at York College and will be starting the University course in September. Keelie loves working alongside the children in our classes, seeing their confidence grow each term!
